◆ compare
A good freelancer and Givyx look alike from the outside: one person, custom work, direct contact. The difference is what happens after launch — and how you pay.
Givyx
Freelancer
How you pay
Monthly, from $9.99; Studio $49 (249 zł). No build fee. First month free.
One-off, typically 3,000–10,000 zł, then hosting and changes billed separately.
Who hosts it
I do — servers, SSL, updates.
Usually you, on hosting the freelancer picked; renewals are your job.
After launch
I stay. Changes, fixes, new pages are part of the relationship.
Depends on the person. Many move on; a fix a year later is a new quote.
Tech under it
One platform I maintain: booking, inventory, analytics, two languages already built.
Whatever they prefer — WordPress, Webflow, custom. Plugins to keep updated.
Speed of build
First version in days; AI does the hours, I do the decisions.
Two to eight weeks, depending on their queue.
Ownership
Your content and design, plus your own domain if you buy one; the platform stays mine.
Usually everything, including the code — if the contract says so.
Risk
One person. If I stop, you keep your content and can rebuild anywhere.
One person. If they stop, you own a site nobody maintains.
Best for
An owner who wants a site that stays alive without thinking about it.
A one-off project you'll own outright and maintain yourself.
01
Full ownership
A good contract gives you the code and the hosting account. With Givyx you own the content and design, and your own domain if you buy one, but not the platform.
02
Any stack you want
WordPress with the plugin your accountant uses, a Shopify store, a custom integration — a freelancer can build on anything. I build on Givyx.
03
Pay once
If the site will not change for years, a one-off fee can be cheaper than a monthly plan. Count hosting and the first emergency fix before you decide.
Pick a freelancer if you need something specific outside what I build — a particular CMS, a custom integration, a big store — or if you want to own the code outright and have someone to maintain it. Ask them what happens in year two before you sign.
Pick Givyx if the site is a tool for the business, not a product in itself. I work the way a freelancer does — one person, direct messages, custom design — but the site lives on a platform I keep running, so booking, inventory, analytics and two languages are there on day one and stay updated without a ticket.
On money: a 5,000 zł build plus hosting and two fixes over two years is roughly what 24 months of Studio costs — with the difference that the plan includes the fixes and the first month is free. If the site will never change, the freelancer wins; if it will, the maths flips.
first month free
- Up to 15 pages
- Everything in Starter
- Online booking
- Unlimited changes (new features quoted first)
- Advanced SEO
- Analytics dashboard
- Priority support
- 1 design refresh / year
First month free — you pay from month two, and only if you keep the site. Changes are unlimited on the Studio plan, and online booking is included. Other plans on the pricing page; no build fee on any of them.
Isn't Givyx just a freelancer with a subscription?
Close. The difference is the platform under the site: booking, inventory, analytics, forms, two languages are already built and maintained, so I spend the hours on your content, not on plumbing.
My freelancer disappeared. Can you take over?
Yes. Send the address and whatever access you have. I rebuild it on Givyx and connect your domain to it for free, with no need to recover the old code.
Can I get the code from you?
If you bought your own domain, it stays yours; you also get all text, photos and design files. The rendering platform stays mine; that's what the monthly fee pays for.
Is there a minimum term?
No. Month to month; cancel any time. The first month is free.
◆ try it first
Tell me what the business does. I build a first version; if you like it, the first month is free.
